Who Will Benefit from the Foundation
The purpose of the Eckhart Tolle Foundation is to bring Eckhart Tolle’s teachings to communities and segments of the population that have had little or no access to them. Through book donations, free digital subscriptions, event scholarships, and free broadcasts, the foundation will begin by focusing on these three population segments:
The Prison Population
There are more than 2.2 million people currently incarcerated in the US alone. The Eckhart Tolle Foundation will provide educational resources to those behind bars.
Educators and Students
The Foundation will support educators and students at the secondary and college levels to help us unlock our full potential through the awakening of consciousness within the halls of higher learning.
The Aging and the Elderly
The Foundation will work with senior centers, assisted living communities, hospitals, and hospices to provide tools and teachings that cultivate a greater sense of aliveness, connection, and purpose.

I first discovered your writings when I was in Marin County Jail, California, awaiting trial on serious felony charges including attempted murder. Despite my actual innocence, I was convicted and sentenced to 13 years in state prison. So I am now at the California Men’s Colony at San Luis Obispo.
Your books were very meaningful and helpful to me in understanding myself and others more deeply. In particular, I immediately understood the concept of the “pain-body” in myself and how it could and did interact with the pain-bodies of others—including the accuser in my criminal case . . .
